Local London Flexi-Learn Launch Event
On 17th July 2018, Local London Flexi-Learn held a successful launch event with NHS and care home employers to find out what skills and qualities were needed in the health and social care field. Feedback from the day included:
‘Employers need help in developing key skills. This has to come from the development of increased flexibility between employers and providers. Flexi-Learn is bringing together training providers and employers to help find solutions to these logistical challenges in the healthcare sector’.
- Ranjan Pattni, Apprenticeship Lead, Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust
‘We had a very constructive session, with lots of dialogue on supporting staff to gain English, maths and digital skills qualifications. The further education sector faces challenges in providing a flexible and agile approach and today's discussions were very helpful in finding ways of working towards the development of a responsive approach to employers' needs’.
- Amal Verde - London Care Branch Manager
‘The Local London Flexi Learn launch has been a huge success. We’ve had a great selection of employers and project partners here today and the feedback from the group sessions has been excellent. We look forward to turning the energy and ideas generated today into training programmes that revolutionise training and career development opportunities for the health and social care sector’.
- Carlos Cubillo-Barsi, Managing Director, Digital Skills Solutions
