Course: Extended Qualification in Maths for Health & Social Care
Extended Award in Maths for Health & Social Care - Level 1
This free* qualification is suitable for individuals who have some prior knowledge of the maths skills used within the health and social care setting. Building on existing skills, learners will be encouraged to apply their knowledge during practical exercises; which includes task-based activities set within the context of report writing, measuring temperature, record maintenance, budget management, medicine calculations and time management.
You will develop a range of skills which are highly valued by employers in the sector.

Where: This is an online course with some learning taking place at Barking Learning Centre
When: This course will be available from February
Length: 15 weeks. Expect 3 hours of face-to-face learning and 2 hours of online learning per week.

Beginners Qualification in Maths for Health & Social Care
This free* course introduces learners’ to the basic maths skills needed to work within a health and social care setting. Course content is taught within the context of writing reports, maintaining accurate records, managing budgets, calculating medicines and managing time.
Beginners Qualification in English for Health & Social Care
This free* course is suitable for individuals who have recently moved to the UK and/or have no prior knowledge of the English language.
