Local London Flexi-Learn is a partnership of Local London FE Colleges, The Prince’s Trust and UCL’s Institute of Education led by Newham College. It is the largest single collaboration of FE colleges. Through its collaborative approach, Local London Flexi-Learn reaches out to engage learners in all Local London boroughs on their terms. Working with health and social care employers, Local London Flexi-Learn develops engaging online and blended learning content and support learners in maths, English, digital and vocational skills to unlock learner’s potential to gain employment and/or progress within health and social care.
The Flexible Learning Fund has been launched to provide grant support for one year only to projects that develop methods of delivering learning that are flexible and easy to access for adults who are in work, or returning to work, with either low or intermediate level skills. As part of this pilot, Local London Flexi-Learn has been granted funding until 31 July 2019 to develop a replicable model to help people gain qualifications and develop the skills they need to succeed in the health & social care sector.
